Mutual tussle and allegations and counter-allegations continue among the leaders regarding the US presidential elections to be held in 2024.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has given a big statement.
He said that if Donald Trump had not been a candidate in the 2024 elections, he would probably not have contested the elections, but now it has become necessary and he will once again participate in the presidential race.
Describing Trump’s candidacy as a threat to the country, Biden said American democracy is “in greater danger in 2024” as the former president and his allies are bent on “destroying” democratic institutions.
In April this year, US President Joe Biden surprised everyone by announcing that he would also contest the 2024 elections.
Along with him, Vice President Kamala Harris had also announced her candidature for Vice President for 2024.
On Tuesday, 80-year-old Biden once again appealed to the people in the election campaign that we have to do this, not just for me.
But to stop him (Trump) from winning. Biden said that if Trump had not come out to contest the elections, he would not have participated in the elections this time, but now it has become necessary because Trump and his allies are bent on destroying American democratic institutions.
This allegation of Biden against Trump has come to light when recently he was accused of inciting people during the 2020 presidential election and trying to overturn the results.
Biden once again stressed that Trump’s arrival is a threat to democracy. Biden said Trump is “the only losing candidate” in American history not to accept the results.
Biden also recalled the events of January 6, 2021, when Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol to stop the election results.
