PM was removed from the post for opposing Kargil war, revealed former Prime Minister of PAK Nawaz Sharif…

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif made an important claim on Saturday.

He said he was ousted by (late) General Pervez Musharraf after his government was ousted from power in 1999 for opposing the Kargil war.

Sharif claims that he had underlined the importance of having good relations with India and other neighbours.

Three-time Prime Minister Sharif questioned why he was removed from the post of Prime Minister prematurely? “I should be told why I was thrown out in 1993 and 1999,” he said. When I opposed the Kargil plan and said that it should not happen… I was thrown out (by General Pervez Musharraf).”

“And later what I said was proved right,” Sharif said while speaking to contenders for his party’s ticket for the upcoming elections.

The supreme leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) said that as the prime minister, he was performing well on all three occasions.

But he was fired and he didn’t know why. “I want to know why I was thrown out every time,” he asked. Sharif also talked about the visits of two Indian prime ministers to Pakistan when he was the prime minister. He said that we have performed well on every front.

Nawaz Sharif said that during my tenure as Prime Minister, two Indian Prime Ministers visited Pakistan. Modi Sahab and Vajpayee Sahab had come to Lahore.

Emphasizing on better relations with India and other neighboring countries, the former Prime Minister said, “We have to improve our relations with India, Afghanistan and Iran. We need to build stronger relations with China. Don’t know why an inexperienced man was handed over the reins of the country.

The economy witnessed a decline during the government of Imran Khan (2018–2002). Then in April 2022, the Shahbaz Sharif government took power and saved the country from default.”

Taking aim at jailed former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chairman Imran Khan, Sharif said he did not know why the reins of the country had been handed over to an inexperienced person. He said, “The economy witnessed a decline during Imran Khan’s government (2018-2202).

Then in April 2022, the Shahbaz Sharif government took power and saved the country from default.” Sharif reiterated his demand for accountability of former military generals and judges for ruining the country by ousting his government in 2017. “Those who brought this country to this level should be held accountable because patriotic people cannot do this to their own country,” he said.

Earlier, on Friday, Sharif had said that we do not want to come to power to roam around in luxury cars, rather we want accountability of those (who) ruined this country and made false cases against us.

A month before returning to Pakistan after a four-year self-exile in Britain, Sharif had hinted at bringing former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, former ISI chief Lt General Faiz Hamid and former Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar and Pakistan .

Asif Saeed Khosa was convicted of the crime of overthrowing his government and causing economic ruin. Sharif is holding daily meetings to give party tickets for the general elections to be held on February 8 next year.
