No Krishna will come to save, High Court angry over woman being paraded naked and beaten; something big

The High Court has taken a tough stance on a woman being stripped and beaten in Karnataka.

The High Court has made it clear that this is an extraordinary incident and it will be dealt with in an ‘extraordinary manner’.

During this, he also mentioned Mahabharata and said that such incidents did not happen even during that period. So far 8 people have been arrested in this case.

Karnataka High Court has taken suo motu cognizance after the news of the incident in media reports. Also, Belagavi Police Chief has been instructed to be personally present in the next hearing.

Besides, a latest report has also been sought from the police. The court said, ‘We need complete information. This will be treated as an extraordinary incident and will be dealt with in an extraordinary manner.

The court said that the atrocity like stripping a woman in public ‘did not happen even in the Mahabharata, when Draupadi was being stripped, Lord Krishna came to save her.’ The court said, ‘If Duryodhana/Dushasan comes in today’s world, Krishna will not come for help.’ Justice Prasanna B Varale and Justice Krishna S Dixit have expressed their displeasure over the incident and have called for a report.

On December 11, a 42-year-old woman was taken out of her home and stripped. Not only this, he was paraded in public and was tied to an electric pole and beaten. After this brutality that lasted for about two hours, the victim reached the hospital. Actually, the son of the victim woman had allegedly eloped with his girlfriend on December 4. Whereas, that girl was to get engaged to someone else on 5th December.

Justice Varale says, ‘I have no words. She was stripped, tied to a pole, beaten like an animal, just look at the trauma that woman must have gone through. Ashamed to call him a human being. Even animals behave better with it.
