Geert Wilders, who registered a big victory in the Netherlands elections, has once again stood in support of Hindus.
After winning, he especially thanked India. In the elections held last month, Wilders’ party PVV i.e. Party for Freedom had won clearly. At present, he is discussing about alliance.
Wilders posted on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘My thanks to my friends around the world who thanked me for winning the Dutch elections.
‘ He wrote, ‘Many messages are coming from India. I will always support those Hindus who are attacked or threatened in Bangladesh and Pakistan just for being Hindus.
Who is Geert Wilders?
Wilders, born in 1963, founded the PVV. The special thing is that PVV is the third largest party in the Netherlands. He is usually called the Dutch version of former US President Donald Trump.
After receiving death threats several times, he always remains under security cover. He could become the first right-wing PM of the Netherlands.
Nupur Sharma’s support
In the year 2022, Wilders also supported former Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Then Sharma was surrounded by controversies due to her comment on Prophet Mohammad.
He had said, ‘Appeasement never works. This makes things worse. My dear friends of India, do not be afraid of Islamic countries. Stand up for freedom and defend your politician Nupur Sharma….’
Wilders also supported the Indian government on the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He had said, ‘India is a complete democracy. Pakistan is 100 percent terrorist country. In such a situation the choice is very easy.
