Mangaluru. A case of alleged sexual assault of a three-year-old girl by a 70-year-old man has come to light in Puni village of Ullal police station area in Mangaluru. The police have arrested the accused. Mangaluru Deputy Commissioner of Police said that 70-year-old local shopkeeper Abdullah was arrested in the case and sent to jail. The police officer said that the accused lives in Mudangarakatte and is originally a resident of Puttur. He told that the girl was playing near a shop when Abdullah raped her, due to which the girl started bleeding and started crying loudly. Hearing the girl’s scream, her mother reached there and immediately got the girl treated and lodged a complaint in the police station. The police registered a case under POCSO and Indian Justice Code and arrested the accused and produced him in the court. The court sent him to judicial custody. The police is investigating the matter
