New Delhi . The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested interstate wanted criminal Mukeem Ayyub Khan. Ayyub is a permanent resident of Vadodara. Ayyub has allegedly duped more than 50 women on the pretext of marriage through matrimonial websites. He has been involved in such incidents in many states and police of various states were searching for him.
Ayyub got married in 2014 and has three children. Despite this, he was roaming around for the last four years in different states hunting women and girls in the name of marriage. Ayyub’s first victim was a divorced woman from Vadodara.
In his profile, Ayyub had shown himself as a government officer. Also, he had written in his profile that his wife had died. During the conversation, he showed a big heart and told the woman and her family that he does not lack anything. He just wants a mother for his daughter. After this, the woman’s family got convinced by Ayyub’s words and got their daughter married to him.
After this, from 2020, Ayyub started trapping girls and women across the country by creating another fake profile. After trapping the girls, he used to talk big, then to emotionally blackmail the women and girls, he would show them the photo of his wife and dead daughter. Then he would marry them and extort money and then abscond. When complaints against him reached the Delhi Police, the Crime Branch and Anti Extortion and Kidnapping Cell were given the responsibility of catching Ayyub. But it was not easy to reach Ayyub. Because he kept changing his mobile number and location continuously. However, on the information of the informer, the police arrested him from the train that reached Nizamuddin.
