A commercial plane flying over the Atlantic Ocean near New York narrowly missed a collision with a mysterious aerial object.
This incident has come to light in the Pentagon’s latest UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) report. The report details 757 unidentified aerial incidents over the past year.
What happened?
The plane’s crew reported a ‘near collision’ with “a cylindrical object”, The Times of India reported.
The incident occurred off the coast of New York, which they reported to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). However, the exact date of the incident and the name of the airline have not been made public yet.
The report released by the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) said that the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
This is the only case in which flight safety issues have been raised regarding such a potential collision.
It is being said that the plane came into close contact with an object that appeared to be cylindrical in shape. No explanation has been given as to what this was.
