A New Zealand pilot killed…the hand of a rebel group

Jakarta. A case of the murder of a New Zealand pilot has come to light from Indonesia’s Papua region. The rebel Free Papua Organization (OPM) killed a New Zealand pilot soon after landing in the Papua region and took some people hostage from the helicopter he was flying.
Glenn Malcolm Koning (50), a New Zealand citizen and PT Intan Angkasa Air Service pilot, was shot and killed, according to an Indonesian military-national police joint operation.
Brigadier General Faisal Ramdhani said the separatist armed group burned the helicopter which landed in Alama, a remote village in the central Mimika district.
The hostage-taking and murder incident against Coning was carried out by the OPM. Let us tell you that there were four passengers, two health workers, an infant and a child in this helicopter. The helicopter took off from Moses Kilangin Timika Airport. The Indonesian Armed Forces and the National Police have started searching for the rebels responsible for the murder of the New Zealand pilot. However, the gunmen later released the passengers.
