On the instructions of the government, continuous action is being taken against illegal mining.

For the third consecutive day, action was taken against firms and people involved in illegal mining and transportation in Bilaspur district.

Six crushers of limestone were sealed in the district and six cases of illegal transportation were caught. In the last three days, 18 illegally operated crushers have been sealed.

Deputy Director of Mining Department said that on the instructions of the District Collector, the investigation campaign against illegal mining activities continued even on holidays.

Mineral staff Bilaspur and revenue staff Takhatpur and Bilha inspected the limestone mines of Takhatpur on 4th February.

Taking action on the basis of irregularities found in the investigation, 6 crushers were sealed. Thus, in the last three days, 18 crusher industries operating illegally have been sealed.

In the investigation, a case of illegal mineral transportation has been registered due to all the vehicles transporting minerals without legal transit passes.
