The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has now completed 1000 days.
With this, a new phase of war has started between the two countries due to which the danger of world war is increasing.
On one hand, North Korean dictator Kim Jong has sent 10 thousand of his soldiers to help Putin, while on the other hand, Ukraine is now openly using American and European weapons in the war.
Ukraine has attacked Russian military bases with British-made ‘Storm Shadow’ missiles after the US fired long-range missiles at Russia on Tuesday.
According to reports from Russian military-affiliated channels, the missile attack took place on military bases in the Kursk region of Russia and missiles were also fired over Yeysk, a city adjacent to the Black Sea port.
This is the first time that Ukraine has used British cruise missiles outside its territory. Earlier, Britain had allowed Ukraine to use them only within the country.
The US and European countries have reportedly described the move as a response to Russia’s increasing dependence on unconventional allies such as North Korea.
It is noteworthy that just a few days before these attacks, US President Joe Biden had approved the use of Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) by Ukraine to attack Russia. Now Ukraine is trying to create new trouble for Russia by attacking with Storm Shadow.
What is Storm Shadow?
Storm Shadow, developed by Britain and France, is a stealthy, air-launched cruise missile with a range of more than 500 kilometers.
Storm Shadow is a missile known for its accuracy. It is designed to evade air defenses and attack large targets including bunkers, bridges and depots.

The use of Storm Shadow certainly enhances Ukraine’s capabilities. It can target major Russian targets away from the frontline.
Ukraine’s goal is to destroy logistics so as to harm Russia’s resources. According to reports, Storm Shadow attacks have targeted Crimea and Russian air bases.
While on one hand Ukraine is capable of attacking at long range with American ATACMS missiles, on the other hand Storm Shadow specializes in accuracy.
What will Putin do?
Even before these attacks, Russia has warned that even if Western countries try to get directly involved in this war, the outcome will not be good and the world will move closer to world war.
This week Putin has also approved the country’s new nuclear policy. It has been announced that if any country supported by any nuclear power attacks Russia, it will be considered a joint attack on their country.
According to the new policy, attacks on Russia by conventional missiles, drones and other aircraft will also fall within the criteria for using nuclear weapons.
