After Sheikh Hasina, now planning to remove the President? Muhammad Yunus’s advisor revealed…

Bangladesh President Shahabuddin is constantly facing pressure to step down.

After Sheikh Hasina left the post, there is now confusion regarding the post of President Shahabuddin.

The people protesting against him argue that he is a person appointed by Sheikh Hasina and is currently serving the interests of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

According to a report published in news agency AFP, Shafiqul Alam, media advisor to the interim government, said that any decision to remove President Shahabuddin will be taken after consulting all political parties and building mutual consensus.

Not only this, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, cabinet minister in the interim government and government spokesperson, also said that discussions are going on to remove Shahabuddin from the post of President.

We will reach a decision soon. Rizwana told media persons on Monday that we all have to consider why we are retaining the President elected by a fascist government after overthrowing it. We will have to decide about it soon.

Protestors tried to enter the President’s residence

In fact, after Sheikh Hasina left the post, the students and political parties involved in the alleged movement had expressed confidence in the President.

An interim government was also formed under her leadership, but this confidence was shaken when the President said that he had not seen Sheikh Hasina’s written resignation.

After this the protests against the President increased. The protesting mob tried to enter the Presidential Palace, resulting in a clash in which 30 security officers and protesters were injured.

This demonstration of the people is also because if Hasina had not resigned, she would still be the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, which raises questions on the constitutional usefulness of the current interim government.

Following the President’s remarks, Asif Nazrul, a minister in the interim government and student leader who participated in the protest, alleged that the comments were a violation of his oath of office.
