There has been an air attack on American soil. President Joe Biden said on Sunday that an aerial drone strike hit US forces deployed in northeastern Jordan near the Syrian border.
Three American soldiers were killed and more than 25 were injured. He blamed Iran-backed groups for the attack.
Biden said in a statement, “We will definitely take revenge for this attack.” This is the first time in the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza that the enemy has launched an airstrike on America in the Middle East.

The attack comes months after Iranian-backed militias launched a major attack against US forces in the Middle East amid the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, killing three US soldiers.
Biden said that America “will definitely respond in its own way to those responsible for the attack at a timely manner.”

CNN reported that the attacks took place on Tower 22, which is home to a small garrison of US forces, who are based there as part of an advise and assist mission with Jordan.
