New Delhi . The Union Cabinet today approved to provide health facilities to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana without any income limit. Under this, all people above 70 years of age will be given the benefit of the health insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat.
The Union Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today approved health coverage for all senior citizens aged 70 years and above under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. There will be no income limit in this. The purpose of this facility expansion is to benefit about 4.5 crore families, which include six crore senior citizens. They will get free health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per family.
