New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave precious gifts to US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden during his three-day visit to America. Modi gave a model of a silver vintage train to President Biden. America has handed over 297 of its ancient precious artifacts to India. These artifacts were smuggled out of India and taken abroad. America has given 578 such historical objects to India in the last 10 years.
With this, the total number of antiquities recovered by India since 2014 has gone up to 640, officials said, adding that the number returned from the US alone would be 578. This is the maximum number of cultural artefacts returned to India from any country.
