An October 7-like attack has taken place on Israeli soil amid the fierce war taking place in the Gaza Strip between Benjamin Netanyahu’s forces and Hamas terrorists.
Terrorist organization Hezbollah bombed the Mount Meron area of northern Israel throughout the night. Hezbollah has taken responsibility for the rocket attack.
Hezbollah fired 37 missiles within minutes. The biggest failure from Israel’s side in this attack was its anti-missile defense system Iron Dome, which could stop only 7 out of 37 missiles from reaching the ground.
Regarding this attack, Hezbollah said that they are taking revenge from Hamas. Expressed displeasure over the large-scale death of innocent Palestinians.
Hezbollah has described the air strikes on Israeli soil as revenge for the deaths of its citizens. Hezbollah and Israel have been carrying out cross-border attacks almost daily since the war in Gaza began in October last year.
Five people, including three members of a terrorist group, were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon last night. The Hezbollah terrorists who died were Jafar Marji, Ali Marji and Hassan Marji.
In response, Hezbollah fired 37 rockets at northern Israel within minutes on Sunday.
According to the IDF, some 37 rockets were fired twice from Lebanon at the Mount Meron area some time ago. The IDF says 30 rockets were fired in the first volley.
One of these missiles was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system. It said seven rockets were fired in the second salvo, six of which were successfully shot down.
The IDF has not confirmed any injuries or deaths from the area of the attack. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it fired dozens of rockets at the city of Meron.
