The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday designated Canada-based gangster and Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BIK) leader Lakhbir Singh Landa as a “terrorist” under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
Landa, who oversees the smuggling of arms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from Pakistan to India, is the mastermind of the Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) attack on the Punjab Police intelligence headquarters in Mohali on May 9 last year.
He is wanted by Punjab Police and National Investigation Agency (NIA) in this regard.
