Pedong. A major road accident has taken place in Pakyong, Sikkim. Four Indian Army soldiers have lost their lives in the accident. The soldiers were travelling from Pedong in West Bengal to Pakyong via the Zuluk Silk Route in Sikkim when their vehicle fell into a ditch. Four soldiers travelling in the vehicle lost their lives in the accident.
The army vehicle slipped off the road and fell 700 to 800 feet down into the gorge. It is being told that the accident happened at Vertical Veer near Dalopchand Dara. It falls near the Renok Rongli Highway, famous as the Silk Route. Four soldiers lost their lives in the accident when the vehicle fell into the gorge.
