New Delhi. The army on the China and Pakistan border will get the power of Pralay missile. Pralay missile is a short range ballistic missile. December 2022: Approval of 120 missiles was received for the Air Force. After this, approval for two units was received in April 2023. In which there were about 250 missiles. So that they can be included in the Rocket Force of the Indian Army. After this, in September 2023, DAC gave permission to form an army regiment for these missiles. Now a unit which will have 120 missiles is yet to be approved. After this, a total of 370 missiles will be inducted into the army. The Pralay missile is a short-range surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missile.
The range of Pralay missile is 150 to 500 km. The speed of the cataclysm is 1200 km per hour. Which can be increased to 2000 km per hour. That is, while falling on the target from the air, its speed increases. China has this type of Dongfeng-12 missile. Whereas, Pakistan has Ghaznavi, M-11 (obtained from China) and Shaheen missiles.
The advantage of short range is that it will destroy the enemy bases near the border in a jiffy. This missile was tested twice within 24 hours in the month of December 2021. Due to the deployment of this missile on the China and Pakistan border, both the countries will remain within limits. If it is fired from near the border, it will not take much time to destroy the bunkers, cannons, military bases or their weapon depots of China or Pakistan.
The accuracy and speed of the Pralay missile makes it most lethal. This missile weighing 5 tonnes can carry a conventional weapon weighing 500 to 1000 kg on its nose. The technology of three missiles has been used in making this missile. These missiles are Prahar, Prithvi-2 and Prithvi-3.
Pralay missile has the capability to attack even at night. This means that attacks on Chinese targets are possible even at night. That means it will be equipped with an infrared or thermal scanner which helps in attacking at night. Pralay missile runs on inertial guidance system. Is solid propellant fuel. That means, high explosive, penetration, cluster munition, fragmentation, thermobaric and chemical weapons can be installed in the warhead of this missile. The accuracy of destroying the target of Pralay is 10 meters i.e. 33 feet. That means, even if this missile falls within a radius of 33 feet from the target, it will cause the same damage as if it had fallen exactly on target. That means, the amount of area that has to be destroyed will be destroyed.
