At least 23 civilians killed in air strike in Sudan’s capital Khartoum

Khartoum. At least 23 civilians were killed and more than 40 others were injured in an airstrike on a main market in Khartoum, south of Sudan. Local volunteers and non-government groups gave this information.
The incident occurred when warplanes bombed al-Souk al-Markazi (central market) in Khartoum on Saturday afternoon.
“The injured were transferred to Bashir, Elrazee and Alraki hospitals for treatment,” the statement said. The condition of some is critical.”
According to military sources and witnesses, the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) launched a significant offensive against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the capital Khartoum on 26 September, its most significant attempt in months to regain control of the city .
According to the latest estimate by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Sudan has been embroiled in violent conflict between the SAF and the RSF since April 15, 2023, resulting in approximately 20 thousand deaths, thousands injured and millions displaced.
