The investigation into the murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui is ongoing.
In this context, Mumbai Police shared some important information on Saturday. It was told that a photograph of Baba Siddiqui’s son Zeeshan Siddiqui was found in the phone of the accused in his murder.
This photo was sent to the accused by his handler through Snapchat. Mumbai Police said, ‘Some new information has come to light in the investigation regarding the murder of Baba Siddiqui. It was discovered that the shooters and conspirators used Snapchat to share information.
At the same time, shooter Yogesh alias Raju of Lawrence Bishnoi-Hashim Baba gang, who was arrested after a police encounter in Mathura, has made shocking claims.
He said that Baba Siddiqui, who was killed in Mumbai, was not only a good man, he even had connections with India’s most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim.
According to the police, at present Yogesh alias Raju Lawrence has joined the Bishnoi gang and is committing many crimes.
He is also the main shooter in the sensational Nadir Shah murder case in Delhi last month. However, he has no connection with the murder of the politician in Mumbai on October 12.
5 more arrests in Baba Siddiqui murder case
Five more people were arrested on Friday for providing arms and logistical support to the shooters in the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
A Mumbai Police officer gave this information. It appears that the five arrested accused were in contact with conspirator Shubham Lonkar and conspirator Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar, who are currently absconding.
The total number of people arrested in this sensational case has now reached 9, while 3 people are absconding. Siddiqui was shot near the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui in Nirmal Nagar in Mumbai’s Bandra area on October 12.
He was seriously injured. Baba Siddiqui, who joined NCP from Congress, died after some time in the nearby Lilavati Hospital.
