It has been two weeks since the coup against Sheikh Hasina and her fleeing the country.
The situation in Bangladesh, which is burning in the fire of violence, is now becoming normal, but the interim government of Mohammad Yunus is still trying to take action against Hasina.
An application was filed in a Bangladesh court on Sunday to register a case against ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 33 others. Hasina and others are accused of genocide by firing indiscriminately at a rally in 2013.
Bangladesh People’s Party (BPP) president Babul Sardar Chakhari has filed the application in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki-Al-Farabi, the Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported.
Babul Sardar Chakhari filed an application in a Bangladesh court accusing him of “mass murder” during a rally at Shapla Chattar in Motijheel on May 5, 2013.
The court recorded the statement and said it would pass an order on the issue later.
