The Bangladesh government (interim) has described ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) as a ‘religious fundamentalist’ group in an affidavit filed in the country’s High Court. Bangladesh Attorney General Mohammad Asaduzzaman said this in response to a question about the origin of ISKCON in Bangladesh. Asaduzzaman said in his reply, “ISKCON is a religious extremist organization. The government is already investigating them.”
