Amidst the atmosphere filled with Ram after the consecration of Ramlala’s life in Ayodhya, this big bhajan fair of the Ramnami community is also giving the message of goodwill and humanity.

If this story of deep, immense love and unwavering faith towards Ram resides in reality, then it is the Ramnaami community of Chhattisgarh.

The emergence of the Ramnami community in Chhattisgarh, the maternal birthplace of Lord Ram, is a story of many neglects, contempts and struggles, which was born with the injury to their faith more than 160 years ago, in such a way that in the times to come, the number of people adopting and believing in them will increase. It kept increasing.

That period also came when the Ramnami community was successful in proving its austerity and simplicity on the basis of its worship.

They believe that their Ram is present everywhere, they do not even search for their Ram anywhere, nor do they avoid getting Ram…Ram written on their bodies.

Gularam Ramnami of Ramnami Samaj says that he has been organizing this event since 1910. Jaijaipur’s event is in its 115th year.

This event is organized continuously once a year in the form of a big Bhajan Mela.

He told that people of any society and religion can adopt Ramnami, but they will have to adopt love for humanity while being virtuous, vegetarian and staying away from drugs etc.

He also told that along with getting Ram…Ram written on their body, Ramnami never keeps hair on their head, women also do not wear bangles in their hands or garland around their neck.

Only Ram is worn on the body and it remains assimilated even after leaving the life till it is buried in the soil.

82 year old Ramnami Tiharu Ram told that his wife Firtin Bai and he have assimilated Ram in their life and body four decades ago.

A year ago he had also gone to Ayodhya, this time he had received an invitation for the consecration ceremony of Ramlala.

Ramnami has gone from here and expressing happiness says that everyone wishes that casteism, discrimination and discrimination should end and goodwill and brotherhood should develop in the society.

Saying that there is no discrimination between men and women in Ramnami society, Tiharu Ram says that they do not worship idols, recite Ramayana and give the message of humanity by chanting their Ram.

Around 80 year old Rambhagat and 75 year old Setbai have also got Ram…Ram tattooed on their body. He says that Ram here is his faith and also his inspiration…. This indelible handwriting never leads them to misbehavior or wrong conduct towards anyone.

The fair was started by hoisting the white flag along with Kalash Yatra.

The historic and proud Ramnami fair, the big bhajan fair, does not need any identity. Today the 115th fair was inaugurated at Jaijaipur block headquarters of Sakti district.

During this time, a large number of people of Ramnami community and villagers arrived from nearby and remote villages. After offering puja from the residence of Madan Khande of the village, Kalash Yatra was taken out by writing Ram..Ram in paddy, which passed through the main streets of the village and reached the Chhatdar Jaitkham in Barchha, the fair venue.

Along with hoisting the flag, bhajan-aarti was performed here. Seeing Ramnami wearing a crown with peacock feathers on her head and walking absorbed in the feeling of worship and devotion towards the deity Ram, the reverence and faith in Ram seemed to be further strengthened in the minds of the people.

Villagers are drawn to the fair and want to come again

Ramnami fair is being held every year in some village or the other. Once you come to this fair, you definitely come again as soon as you get time.

Old lady Kachra Bai, who has visited the Ramnami fair eight times till now, says that she feels very happy after coming here.

Kaushalya Chauhan tells that she has come to this fair for the third time. Sarju Ram, who came from Delhi, told that he has participated in many fairs.

This fair develops the message of connecting all the society and promoting humanity.

Chairman of the fair committee, Kedarnath Khande said that the villagers coming from far away places stay in the fair for three whole days, Bhandara also goes on continuously here. During this time, the faith in Ram…Ram…Ram also makes them eager to come again.

Chhatdar Jaitkham has been built on land donated by a couple from the same village.

This fair of the Ramnami community, who have dedicated their lives to Lord Ram, actually unites the society and develops humanity, a direct example of this is that many people of the village who belong to other communities have donated their precious land for the construction of Chhatdar Jaitkham. Donated for.

Panchram Chandra and Mrs. Lakeshwari Chandra of the village have donated land at the fair site, while there are other villagers who have selflessly donated their valuable land.

The fair was organized for the first time in village Pirda in 1910.

Ramnami Bade Bhajan Fair and Sant Samagam are being organized continuously since the year 1910. In this fair which lasts for 3 days from Paush Shukla Paksha Ekadashi to Trayodashi, bhajans and the name of Ram are chanted 24 hours.

Ram dances with Ghunghrus in his feet while singing in the rhythm of Ram. Ram and enhances the beauty of the fair and also succeeds in absorbing the message of Ramnaam in everyone’s mind.
