It is suspected that Anmol had sent him pictures of Siddiqui and his son MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui through the app.

Earlier, Shubham Lonkar, a suspected henchman of Lawrence Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the murder in a social media post. The post was later deleted. An officer said, we have identified two layers of this case. The shooter and the weapon supplier were identified. We are approaching the third layer, which may include the conspirators and those who issue murder contracts. Mumbai Police say they have also found photographs of the suspected killers practicing firing on September 13. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has found evidence of some such conversations.
