Big blow to Donald Trump, will not be able to contest the 2024 presidential elections; US court declared him ineligible…

The Supreme Court of Colorado has given a big blow to former US President Donald Trump.

The court has declared him ineligible for the 2024 US presidential elections. The Colorado court on Tuesday declared Trump ineligible in the Capitol violence case that occurred on January 6, 2021.

The court’s decision makes Trump the first presidential candidate in US history to be disqualified from running for the White House under a rarely used provision of the US Constitution.

That provision of the US Constitution bars any official involved in “insurrection or rebellion” from holding the office of president. He has been disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution.

The Colorado Supreme Court concluded that Trump can be disqualified from the 2024 presidential elections due to his role in inciting the Capitol Hill violence against the US government under the provisions of the US Constitution. Trump was the frontrunner among the Republican candidates for nomination to this post.

However, the Supreme Court has stopped its decision from being implemented till January 4. Because of this, Trump can further appeal against this decision.

Let us tell you that the courts of Minnesota and Michigan have rejected similar lawsuits challenging Trump’s appointment in the presidential election, but lawsuits are going on in many states on this issue. Let us tell you that Colorado is a state of America and the Supreme Court there has given this decision.

On the other hand, Donald Trump’s team has said that the decision of the Colorado Supreme Court is a completely flawed decision and an appeal will soon be filed against this decision in the US Supreme Court.

The Trump team has denied any wrongdoing in the January 6 Capitol Hill violence case and has called the 14th Amendment lawsuits an abuse of the legal process.

Trump’s campaign team said the state Supreme Court’s decision applies only to Colorado, but the historic decision will govern his 2024 presidential campaign.

The ruling on Trump is a victory for lawyer groups and anti-Trump voters, who had mounted several similar legal challenges to stop Trump’s candidacy under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. This section was added to the US Constitution after the Civil War.
