There is a dilemma over seat sharing in NDA in Bihar.
Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan, president of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and MP from Jamui, known as Hanuman of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has received a big offer from INDIA Alliance.
A report says that Chirag has been offered 6+2+2 seats. That is, eight seats in Bihar and two seats in the neighboring state Uttar Pradesh have been offered by the India Alliance.
Sources said that the eight seats in Bihar offered to Chirag Paswan include all the six Lok Sabha seats which were won by the undivided LJP in the 2019 elections. Apart from this, there has also been talk of giving two additional seats in the state. In this way it has been proposed to give them a total of eight seats.
The offer given by the India Alliance is very tempting for Chirag Paswan because in the BJP-led NDA, he is being given only the same six seats which the party had won in 2019. Of these, five seats are in the possession of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, the faction of his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, with whom he has a figure of 36.
In this way, Chirag is getting only Jamui seat from NDA, whereas he is staking his claim on six seats including Hajipur, the traditional seat of his father Ram Vilas Paswan.
Let us tell you that after the death of Ram Vilas Paswan, the party was divided in 2021. His uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras had taken over the party by rebelling with five MPs.
A few days after this rebellion, Chirag Paswan attacked Bihar Chief Minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar when Paras was made a minister in the central government. However, he refrained from targeting BJP and PM Narendra Modi.
Chirag Paswan has been calling himself Modi’s Hanuman, while he has been a staunch opponent of Nitish Kumar since the 2020 assembly elections.
Now after Nitish’s exit from the India alliance, his enemy has been offered to become a friend. If Chirag accepts this offer then NDA may have to lose about 5 percent votes.
Paswans have about 5.5 percent votes in the state, which is considered to be with Chirag Paswan. Chirag Paswan did not attend the recent two meetings of PM Modi, due to which there is talk of his being angry.
