BJP exposed on ‘Bulldozer policy’, why was Rahul Gandhi happy with SC’s comment? Launched a new attack on BJP…

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has welcomed the Supreme Court’s comment that the bulldozing of houses by state governments is wrong and has used this as an excuse to target the ruling BJP at the Centre.

In a post, Rahul said SC’s comment on BJP’s unjust ‘bulldozer policy’ is welcome.

Rahul also said that now the anti-constitutional face of BJP has been exposed in front of the country. He said that the country will run by Baba Saheb’s constitution, not by the whip of power.

The former Congress president wrote in a post on social media X, “The Supreme Court’s comment on BJP’s unconstitutional and unjust ‘bulldozer policy’ is welcome.

The anti-constitutional face of the BJP, which crushed humanity and justice under the bulldozer, has now been exposed before the country.

The bulldozer, which has become a symbol of unbridled power, has constantly and arrogantly challenged the law by crushing civil rights.

Under the guise of ‘instant justice’, with the aim of establishing the ‘rule of fear’, it is often the households of the Bahujans and the poor that come under the wheels of the bulldozer.”

He further wrote, “We expect that the Supreme Court will issue clear guidelines on this very sensitive issue and protect the citizens from this anti-democracy campaign of the BJP governments. The country will run by Baba Saheb’s Constitution, not by the whip of power.”

Let us tell you that the Supreme Court gave an important direction on Monday, saying that it is wrong for the state governments to demolish the houses of people involved in criminal cases with bulldozers.

The court on Monday questioned how can someone’s house be demolished just because he is an accused? The apex court said it will formulate guidelines on the issue which will be applicable across the country.

A bench of Justices B R Gavai and K V Vishwanathan said, “How can someone’s house be demolished just because he is an accused? Even if he is guilty, this cannot be done without following the procedure prescribed by law.”

However, the Supreme Court made it clear that it will not protect any unauthorised construction or encroachment on public roads.
