BJP-TDP-JSP alliance has been formally approved in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will contest elections on 17 Lok Sabha and 144 assembly seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will field its candidates on 6 Lok Sabha and 10 Assembly seats, while actor Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena Party (JSP) has been given 2 Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats.

Along with Lok Sabha, assembly elections are also to be held in Andhra Pradesh. There are 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats.

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed confidence that the voters of Andhra Pradesh will give a historic mandate to the NDA to serve them.

TDP sources said that along with Shekhawat, BJP national vice president Baijayant Jai Panda met Naidu and Kalyan to discuss the alliance candidates.

Sources said that the opposition party in Andhra Pradesh has also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address an election rally between March 17 and 20.

A TDP leader said that if Modi attends the meeting, it will be the first time in a decade that Modi, Naidu and Kalyan will be on the same stage.
