Bharatiya Janata Party’s triumphant victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh is likely to continue in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections also.
Such indications have been found in a recent survey. The survey is indicating that the performance of Congress and especially the new opposition alliance INDIA is not going to be special.
How many seats will BJP win?
Times Now ETG survey has estimated that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) can win 323 seats.
The survey has shown that BJP alone can win 308 to 328 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, some decline in NDA seats is also being estimated as compared to 2019.
What is the position of Congress?
According to the survey, in the 2024 general elections, the Congress party can stop only between 52 to 72 seats. Apart from this, INDIA alliance parties together can win 163 seats.
About 18 parties have together formed an opposition alliance against the BJP. This includes many big parties including Congress, Trinamool Congress, Left, Janata Dal United, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Nationalist Congress Party.
2019 election results
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP contested 436 seats. Of these, the party had won 303 seats.
Whereas, Congress, which contested on 421 seats, could win only 52 seats. Then NDA had crossed the mark of 350 seats and BJP had achieved majority on its own.
Big victory in three states
Recently BJP has won 163 out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 115 out of 199 seats in Rajasthan and 54 out of 90 seats in Chhattisgarh.
In the north-eastern state of Mizoram also, BJP’s graph increased compared to the last election and the party won 2 seats. BJP has also won 8 seats in the South Indian state Telangana.
