However, senior Hezbollah official and MP Hassan Fadlallah said that his organization would remain active despite the ceasefire. While European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has appealed to Israel to accept the ceasefire agreement.

US President Joe Biden said that today, I have good news to report from the Middle East. I have spoken to the Prime Ministers of Lebanon and Israel and I am pleased to announce that they have accepted the United States’ offer to end the devastating conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.
