Buckle up and get ready! ‘Disaster’ is rapidly moving towards the Earth, only a few hours are left…

Asteroids keep coming towards the Earth almost every day.

These are also called catastrophes, because even if they collide with the Earth by mistake, huge losses can occur.

For this reason, scientists around the world keep an eye on asteroids every moment. Similarly, on Monday (October 28), an asteroid is moving towards the Earth at high speed.

Only a few hours are left for it to reach closest to the Earth. However, according to scientists, there is no possibility of it hitting the Earth, which is a matter of relief for people all over the world.

The asteroid which is going to pass near the Earth on October 28, is named 2020 WG.

Identified for the first time by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the closest distance to Earth from this asteroid will be about 3.3 million kilometers.

That means there is absolutely no chance of a collision. Talking about its size, it will be 120 to 270 meters wide, which is equivalent to a 70 storey high building.

The speed of this asteroid is going to be 9.43 kilometers per second. At this speed it will move rapidly towards the earth.

In such a situation, scientists will have very little time to get more information about this asteroid, during which scientists will want to collect as much information as possible.

Let us tell you that asteroids are small, rocky bodies which revolve around the Sun. Although asteroids orbit the Sun like planets, they are much smaller than planets.

There are many asteroids in the solar system. Most of them live in the main asteroid belt – between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

Let us tell you that asteroids are not round like planets. They can be of any shape like a stone.

Some asteroids are hundreds of miles in diameter, but many others are as small as a pebble.

Most asteroids are made of various types of rocks, but some are also made of clay or metals such as nickel and iron.
