The campaign for the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections to be held in 12 states of the country has stopped. These include Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala. Voting on this is to be held on 13 November. Along with this, voting will also be held on 33 assembly seats in 12 states. The Election Commission had announced by-elections in 15 states of the country on October 15 last month.
In the assembly by-elections, voting is to be held on Kedarnath seat of Uttarakhand on November 20 and for the remaining 47 seats on November 13. After this the election dates changed in some states. The dates of by-elections for all nine seats of UP and all four seats of Punjab have been announced on 20th November. Out of the two seats in Kerala, voting in Palakkad is now to be held on 20th November instead of 13th. The election date for other seats has been retained.
Six seats of Bengal and Kerala were included
There are 12 such states in the country, where voting is to be held for the assembly by-elections on 13 November. This included five assembly seats of Assam, four of Bihar, one of Chhattisgarh, one of Gujarat, three of Karnataka, two of Madhya Pradesh, one of Meghalaya, seven of Rajasthan, two of Sikkim, six of Bengal and one seat of Kerala. Has gone. Along with this, voting is also to be held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala on 13th November. Party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is contesting from here on Congress ticket. According to the Election Commission, the assembly seats for which by-elections are to be held on November 20 include Palakkad assembly seats of Kerala, Baba Nanak, Chabbewal, Gidderbaha and Barnala assembly seats of Punjab.
Along with this, voting is also to be held on nine seats in UP on November 20. These include Sisamau of Kanpur, Phulpur of Prayagraj, Karhal of Mainpuri, Majhwan of Mirzapur, Katehri of Ambedkar Nagar, Ghaziabad Sadar, Khair of Aligarh, Kundar of Moradabad and Meerapur of Muzaffarnagar.
