Police have registered a report against thousands of people who created ruckus and disturbance during the action against encroachment in Vanbhulpura of Haldwani on Thursday and have started arresting them.

So far the police have taken four people into custody.

Along with stone pelting, the miscreants attacked the security forces with petrol bombs and glass bottles. After this, Vanbhulpura police station was also set on fire.

Thousands of forces deployed in Vanbhoolpura somehow came out saving their lives. About 300 people were also injured in the disturbance.

Three separate cases have been registered in Vanbhulpura police station against those who flouted law and order and subjected the city to arson and vandalism.

In this, one case has been filed by Vanbhulpura Police, second by Municipal Corporation and third by Mukhani Police.

SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena said that 19 people have been named in the three cases. At the same time, about 5000 unknown people have also been included.

Heavy police force has been deployed across the city. No untoward incident was recorded on Friday.

Many other sections have been imposed on all of them including rioting, sabotage, attempt to murder, damaging government and public property and obstructing government work. Along with this, the police have detained four people and started questioning them.

Those who created panic by pushing the city towards riots had covered their faces. Along with this, CCTV cameras installed at many places in Vanbhoolpura area were also damaged.

At the same time, the police has started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras and all the video recordings made during stone pelting.

On the basis of this, more than 100 miscreants have been identified so far. Police have started a search for his arrest.
