Will not hear petitions filed against states
New Delhi . The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to hear petitions against demolition of illegal properties in Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The case was heard by a bench of Justice BR Gavai, Justice PK Mishra and Justice KV Vishwanathan. The bench said- We are not inclined to consider the petition of those petitioners who are not directly or indirectly connected with this case. If these petitions are heard, the cases will increase significantly.
In fact, the petitioner has alleged that the authorities in Haridwar, Jaipur and Kanpur did not obey the Supreme Court order, which said that the property would not be demolished without the permission of the court.
