Dehradun . The Chardham Yatra ended on Sunday as soon as the doors of Badrinath Dham closed. The doors of Lord Badri Vishal closed at 9.07 pm on Sunday. Before the doors were closed, the five-day Panch Puja had started, which ended on November 17. So far this year, more than 14 lakh 20 thousand devotees have visited Lord Badrinath. The temple was decorated with colorful flowers. In Uttarakhand, the doors of Gangotri, Yamunotri and Kedarnath have already been closed. Now the doors of Lord Badri Vishal were closed for winter. Panch Puja started before the doors closed. Lord Ganesha was worshiped on the first day under Panchpuja. In the evening the doors of Ganesh temple were also closed for winter. On November 14, the doors of Adikedareshwar Temple and Shankaracharya Temple in front of Narayan Temple were also closed as per law. On November 15, the recitation of Vedas ended in Badrinath temple with the worship of Kharak Pustak. On 16th November, Kadhai Bhog was offered to Goddess Lakshmi and on 17th November the doors of Lord Narayana were closed.
10 thousand devotees visited on the occasion of closing of doors
On the occasion of closing of the doors, about 10 thousand devotees reached the Dham and had darshan of Badrinath. After the doors were closed, Badrinath Dham echoed with the slogan of Jai Badrivishal. Badrinath temple has been decorated with 15 quintals of flowers. Badrinath temple remained open for devotees throughout the day on Sunday. Like before, the Abhishek puja of Badrinath started at 4.30 in the morning. Badrinath was decorated with Tulsi and Himalayan flowers. The evening puja of Badrinath started at 6.45 pm. Late in the evening at 7.45 pm, Rawal (Chief Priest) Amarnath Namboodiri, dressed as a woman, entered Lakshmi Mata into the Badrinath temple. After worshiping and aarti of all the deities in Badrish Panchayat (Badrinath sanctum sanctorum), the idols of Uddhav ji and Kuber ji were brought out of the sanctum sanctorum. Shayan Aarti took place at 8.10 pm. After that the process of closing the doors started.
