Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue made of steel will not fall under any circumstances: Nitin Gadkari… – NNSP

There is an uproar over the falling of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue in Sindhudurg.

This has become a big issue in Maharashtra politics and due to such an incident happening just before the elections, the ruling coalition NDA is on the backfoot.

Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari has said that if the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji was made of steel, it would never have fallen.

Nitin Gadkari said that the problem of rusting of iron is more prevalent in the areas near the sea. This situation is especially prevalent up to a distance of 30 kilometres from the sea.

Referring to the work of the Highway Authority, Nitin Gadkari said, ‘Only stainless steel should be used in bridges.

I know that when I was constructing 55 flyovers in Mumbai, a person fooled me. He gave me iron after powder coating and it was green in colour. He said that it will not rust, but when it was installed, it started getting damaged very soon.

If some work has to be done within 30 kilometers of the sea, then it will not be possible without using steel. If steel was used in Shivaji’s statue, it would not have fallen 100 percent. You will see that in Mumbai, buildings near the sea get damaged very quickly.

It is normal that where there is hard rock, strong machines will be used for drilling. Whereas in areas with soft soil, other machines may be used.

In this way, I think that machines can also be different according to the place. Let us tell you that last week when PM Narendra Modi was on a tour of Maharashtra, he apologized for the fall of Shivaji’s statue.

He had said that Chhatrapati Shivaji is like God for us. We apologize to him and those who consider him their idol.

Before him, CM Eknath Shinde had said that I am ready to apologize by touching his feet 100 times. Apart from this, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar had also apologized for this.
