Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court Ramesh Sinha conducted a virtual inspection of District and Sessions Court Bastar, Jagdalpur today.
The Chief Justice directed for speedy disposal of the pending cases, especially the old pending cases. Such pending cases in which mediation can take place were also directed for speedy resolution through mediation.
On this occasion, Judge N.K. Vyas was also present who is also the Portfolio Judge of District Jagdalpur.
Chief Justice Sinha also inspected the first aid center located in the court premises and inquired about the medicines available there.
He directed the District Judge to make such arrangements that doctors are available in the first aid center for a few hours every day.
He directed all the judges to ensure a healthy working environment and directed the District Judge to continuously inspect the court premises.
The court building was first inspected by Chief Justice Sinha. Instructed to keep these places organized along with cleanliness in the court premises, parking, canteen etc.
He gave necessary guidelines to ensure availability of clean drinking water in the campus. The Chief Justice also took information about the ongoing repair works in the court premises and directed the concerned to complete these works soon.
He also inspected the video conferencing room, advocate room, mediation centre, information centre, District Legal Services Authority and Public Prosecution Office and expressed satisfaction over the basic structure of the building.
Chief Justice Sinha also directed regarding leave of officers and employees that leave should be granted only keeping in view the need of the leave. Officers and employees should ensure timely presence in the office.
