In the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, a grand event of Johar Tiranga was organized at the Indoor Stadium in the capital Raipur today.
In this programme organised by the Culture Department, the country’s famous singer Kailash Kher and his friends gave a melodious presentation of patriotic songs.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and other people present sang together in patriotic songs ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Jaan Hai Hamari Hai Tiranga’.
Earlier, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the ‘Johar Tiranga’ programme by lighting a lamp and garlanding the portrait of Chhattisgarh Mahtari.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the ‘Johar Tiranga’ program, said that on the call of the country’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are celebrating Tricolor Week in the country, which has started from 9 August and will continue till the country’s Independence Day, 15 August.
In this series, this dignified event of Johar Tiranga program is being organized in the Indoor Stadium. He said that during the Tricolor week, as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, patriotic programs are being organized in the country and Chhattisgarh.
Many events like Tiranga Yatra, Tiranga Rally, Tiranga Pledge, Tiranga Selfie, Tiranga Mela are being organized at government, non-government institutions and village-to-village level in Chhattisgarh state.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to hoist the tricolor in every house. He said that after the sacrifice of lakhs of brave sons of India, we got independence, we got our tricolor and we have to preserve it.
The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to plant and preserve a tree in the name of the mother under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan’ on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai extended advance greetings of Independence Day to the people of the state.
Finance Minister OP Choudhary said that nationalism is the life and soul of any country.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of the entire country to celebrate Independence Week to celebrate freedom and hoist the tricolour in every home. He said that we should celebrate Tricolour Week and Independence Day with patriotic zeal.
Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Dayal Das Baghel, Industry Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MLAs Kiran Dev Singh, Rajesh Munat, Anuj Sharma, Purandar Mishra, Indra Kumar Sahu, Guru Khuswant Saheb and Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal attended the program.
