Bastar district gifted with development works worth more than Rs 100 crore

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, during his stay in Bastar today, inaugurated Siri (MRC) and Samriddhi (MRF), built at a cost of about Rs 3 crore 50 lakh, at Burundwara Semra of Jagdalpur development block.
On this occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 195 development works worth Rs 100 crore 42 lakh 28 thousand in Bastar district. This includes inauguration of 110 works costing Rs 24 crore 44 lakh 60 thousand and bhoomi pujan of 89 works costing Rs 75 crore 98 lakh 88 thousand.
Chief Minister Sai also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Indradhanush Park in Chitrakote and Tirtha at a cost of Rs 7 crore 12 lakh. During this, information regarding the action plan for the construction of Indradhanush Park was given through video.

Books of MRF and MRC were released in the programme.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inspected the waste management system of MRF and MRC Center in the program and took information about the process of separating and organizing garbage through machines by the women group members and selling it.
In the program organized in Burundwara Semra, the Chief Minister provided 83 e-rickshaws to Swachhata Didis.

Under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, a loan of Rs 30 crore was also distributed to the members of women self-help groups.
On this occasion, former MP Dinesh Kashyap, MLA Chitrakote Vinayak Goyal, former MLA Santosh Bafna, Commissioner Shyam Dhavde, IG Sundarraj P., Collector Vijay Dayaram K., Superintendent of Police Shashimohan Singh, District Panchayat CEO Prakash Sarve and other distinguished guests and public representatives were present.

It is noteworthy that in Burundwada Semra, Swachh Kendra-MRF (Material Recovery Facility and Material Recycling) built at a cost of Rs 03 crore 50 lakh with the joint partnership of District Panchayat, HDFC Bank’s Center for Environment Education (CEE) and Srishti Waste Management Services Private Limited. Centre) is being operated.
The main objective of the Center is to put the transformative project into practice by promoting better waste management practices in the ecosystem. Also aims to promote a circular economy and a business model in the waste management value chain.
This will provide employment opportunities to the women self-help groups associated with the organization. Through the waste management of Jagdalpur city, the aim is to provide economic benefits by purchasing the goods from the Municipal Corporation’s Swachhata Didis.
The project aims to create a sustainable waste management system that promotes recycling. Reduces the amount of drought and plastic waste in both rural and urban areas. The MRF/MRC will serve as a hub for sorting, processing and recycling various types of waste materials, ensuring proper disposal and minimizing environmental impact.
Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Material Recycling Center (MRC) are being set up under the project ‘Rural and Urban Landscapes Free of Drought and Plastic Waste’.
All the collected dry waste and plastic is routed to the MRF from the city municipal corporations (CMC), waste pickers and other stakeholders.
MRF segregates all types of dry waste, including plastics, which will promote value addition in the waste supply chain.
PET, PE, HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PS and PP waste is collected and shredded and supplied to recyclers (to produce pallets or other materials/products), cement kilns (co-processing). Which is used in fuel, road construction etc.
