Chief Minister took high level meeting of top police and administration officials
Reviewed Naxal eradication campaign in the state
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai held a high level meeting of top police and administration officials at Mahanadi Bhawan (Ministry) on Wednesday and conducted a thorough review of the Naxal eradication campaign in the state.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister said that ever since our government came to power, the fight against Naxalism has strengthened. Our police personnel are fighting strongly against the Naxalites.
Campaigns against Naxalites are intensifying, camps are being established continuously. The previous government did not fight Naxalism seriously but our security forces have started the process of eliminating Maoist terrorists.
We will not only drive them out of Chhattisgarh but will also wipe out all traces of them. This is the priority of our government.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to provide basic facilities to the people around the security camp.
The Chief Minister had gone to Jagdalpur to pay tribute to the soldiers martyred in the Naxal encounter on January 30 in village Tekalgudem of Jagargunda police station area of Sukma district. After returning from there in the evening, he held a high level meeting of officials in the ministry and said in strong words that the efforts to eliminate Naxalites from the state would be made. Our government is committed to this, effective action should be taken with a concrete strategy for this.
The Chief Minister said that due to the campaign being conducted for the last one and a half month to end Maoism-terrorism in the state, the Naxalites have become distraught and due to this, they are ambushing the soldiers of our security forces and carrying out cowardly attacks. This action of Naxalites is extremely disgusting.
The Chief Minister said that we have to give a befitting reply to the Naxalites at any cost. The Chief Minister said that due to the continuous advance of the force, Maoist terrorists have become nervous by setting up camps even in inaccessible areas.
Naxalites are carrying out cowardly attacks in defense of their existence. We have to understand this very well. The Chief Minister directed top police officials to make their information system more effective and expedite action against Naxalites.
He said that we need to be extremely vigilant while searching in the affected areas so that we can expose the intentions of the Naxalites and destroy them.

Dayanand, Dr. Basavaraju S. was present.
