Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has paid tribute to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birthday on 25th December.
Chief Minister Sai said that former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee formed the new Chhattisgarh state by respecting the sentiments of the people of Chhattisgarh with the aim of development of Chhattisgarh and prosperity of its people.
He has said that apart from being a skilled politician, Atal ji was also a powerful speaker and a poet at heart. He is also known for his political and personal purity.
In the memory of Bajpayee ji, his birthday is celebrated as ‘Good Governance Day’, on this occasion, on 25th December, the state government will give a bonus amount of Rs 3716 crore to the farmers of the state for the outstanding paddy of Kharif marketing year 2014-15 and 2015-16. Rs 38 lakh 96 thousand are being paid.
