Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence today.
During this, the Chief Minister gave information about the development works done in the state during the last nine months, in which major initiatives taken in the fields of agriculture, skill development and education were underlined.
Along with this, he shared with the Prime Minister the information about the recent successful Naxal operation in the state. The Prime Minister praised the courage of the security forces on the success of this operation.
During the meeting, he also expressed gratitude to Narendra Modi for sanctioning eight lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai gave detailed information to the Prime Minister on the progress of the ongoing operation and development works in the state against Maoism.
Referring to the recent operation in Narayanpur-Dantewada district, he said that security forces have killed 31 Naxalites, which is the biggest Naxal operation so far in the state. Chief Minister Sai also presented the details of the ongoing development works in Chhattisgarh.
He said that the state government is paying special attention to the development of roads, schools, hospitals and other basic facilities. Special efforts are also being made for employment generation and rural development, so that people of Naxal affected areas can join the mainstream.
Prime Minister Modi praised this success and said that this is not only restoring peace in the state, but is also paving the way for development.
Chief Minister Sai said that the government is running special schemes to upgrade the skills of youth in Bastar and tribal areas. Under these schemes, various technical and vocational training are being given to the youth, so that they can get better employment opportunities after getting higher education. This initiative is playing an important role in the social and economic development of the state.
In the field of agriculture, Chief Minister Sai told the Prime Minister that digital technology and advanced agricultural methods are being widely used in Chhattisgarh. Due to this, the productivity of farmers and their income is increasing. The Chief Minister said that these efforts are in line with the Prime Minister’s goal of “Developed India 2047”, and Chhattisgarh is playing an important role in this direction.
The state has also made major changes in the field of education. The Chief Minister told the Prime Minister that in tribal areas, children are being provided education in their mother tongue, due to which the educational progress of the children is improving. Besides, special attention is also being given to technical education, so that the children of the state can be trained in modern technologies and prepare for the future.
