China’s influence on Russia, which is embroiled in war with Ukraine, is increasing.
The Chinese language Mandarin is seen as the most preferred foreign language across Russia.
Amid the ever-growing popularity of Mandarin, Russian President Putin said on Monday that the children in his family speak Mandarin very clearly.
Speaking to school children, Putin said that we should learn Mandarin but also understand the importance of English as it is an important language which we need to understand the knowledge around the world.
Putin said that I can speak and understand German well but that does not mean that I should turn away from English.
I have also learnt English. He said that English is a great language. It has united the knowledge of the world and brought human civilizations closer, along with this it has also given a lot to humanity.
Therefore, it is important for us to focus on learning English as well. According to the Russian census conducted in 2022, Russian, English, Tatar, German and Chechen are the most spoken languages in Russia, while Mandarin was previously very little spoken but in recent times it has become very popular in Russian homes.
Putin does not talk about his family but he said everything in front of his children
According to Russian media, Putin does not talk much about his family. Putin and his wife got divorced in 2014.
Putin and his wife Lyudmila have two daughters and she is fluent in Russian, English, German and French. Regarding Putin’s family, Russian media says that not much is known about his family but the President has about three to four grandchildren.
There have been frequent agreements between Russian President Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. This May, the two together promised a new era.
Actually, both these countries do not get along well with America, so by adopting the philosophy of enemy’s enemy being a friend, both these countries are getting closer to each other.
China’s growing economic power is a thorn in the eyes of America, while Russia’s military power worries Western countries. China is constantly helping Russia during the Ukraine war.
According to some media reports, China is continuously helping Russia through ammunition and weapons.
Pointing to this inclination of Russia towards China, western countries keep telling India that if there is ever a Chinese attack on Indian borders, Russia will never come forward to help India, that is why India should leave Russia and openly support the policies of America and impose sanctions on Russia.
A “NO LIMITS” partnership was signed between these two countries in 2022, which meant that China and Russia would help each other to any extent. Just a few days after this partnership, Putin attacked Ukraine.
