Wrestler and Congress leader Vinesh Phogat has made a big claim regarding the Paris Olympics.
She has also expressed her displeasure over the photo shared by Indian Olympic Association chief PT Usha. Phogat, who reached the wrestling final, was disqualified due to weight.
Recently he has joined Congress. The party has given him a ticket from Julana seat of Haryana.
When Phogat was admitted to the hospital, Usha had come to meet her. During that time, the IOA chief had also taken a photo with Phogat.
The photo was also discussed a lot on social media. Actually, Phogat’s health was affected while trying to lose weight and she had to be hospitalized. Now the wrestler has alleged that Usha has played politics by sharing the photo.
According to media reports, he said, ‘I don’t know what support I got there.’ He said, ‘PT Usha ma’am came to meet me in the hospital. A photo was also clicked…. As you said, a lot happens in politics behind closed doors. Similarly, politics happened there (in Paris) as well. That’s why my heart broke. Otherwise, there were many people who were saying that don’t leave wrestling.’
Regarding the photo, she has alleged that the photo was taken without her knowledge and shared on social media. She said, ‘You are on a hospital bed, where you do not know how life is going on outside. You are going through the worst phase of your life. In such a situation, just to show that you are standing with me, you are taking a photo without telling me.’
He said, ‘Then you are posting the photo on social media and saying that we stand together. Support is not shown like this. That was nothing more than a show off.’
