The entire process from form to approval is free, applications will be taken in the first phase till February 20, the scheme will continue further also.
24×7 control room set up to provide scheme related information and resolution of problems to the beneficiaries
Under the chairmanship of Collector Vilas Bhoskar, a meeting was organized in the District Panchayat Hall on Sunday for the implementation of the government’s ambitious scheme Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
Before this, necessary training was also given to Anganwadi workers, supervisors and project officers for the implementation of the scheme by giving them detailed information about the scheme and their responsibilities.
It is noteworthy that with the aim of promoting women empowerment, the state government will implement Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the state from March 1, 2024.
Registration of online and offline applications will start on 5 February 2024. In the first phase, applications are being taken till 20th February.
The scheme will continue beyond this and the application process will continue. Under the scheme, Rs 1000 per month will be paid to the eligible women in their own Aadhaar linked DBT based bank account.
In the meeting, Collector Bhoskar said that in-charge Municipal Corporation Commissioner in urban areas and SDM and CEO in rural areas should ensure better implementation of the scheme in the district by coordinating with the District Program Officer of Janpad Panchayat, Women and Child Development Department. For this, Anganwadi workers, Gram Panchayat Secretary and supervisors will ensure the process from taking applications to online registration.
The project officer will also cooperate in this work. He has directed the Municipal Corporation Commissioner, CEO Janpad Panchayat and CMO Municipal Council to ensure mandatory training of all the officers and employees related to the scheme related to the implementation and monitoring of the scheme.
Necessary committees have also been formed as per the instructions of the government for the implementation of the scheme in the district. In this, district level, district panchayat, municipal corporation and municipal council level committees have been formed.
To provide the necessary documents to avail the benefits of the scheme, the Collector has directed the CEO of the district to hold a meeting of the secretaries and give them training.
Application forms will also be available in Gram Panchayat, Anganwadi Centre, Ward Office and Project Office.
24×7 control room set up for scheme related information and resolution of problems for beneficiaries
For the implementation of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the district and to resolve the problems of the beneficiaries, a 24×7 control room has been formed in the District Office Women and Child Development Department.

Duty of employees has been imposed in the control room, which includes computer operator Sabina Khatoon from 08 am to 02 pm, Assistant Grade 02 Kamal Kishore Tirkey from 02 pm to 08 pm and Assistant Grade 03 Karan from 08 pm to 08 am. Kishore’s duty has been imposed.
