Commodore Ajay Yadav becomes head of Navy’s Bengal Area – NNSP

New Delhi . Commodore Ajay Yadav assumed charge as Naval Officer-in-Charge, West Bengal Area. He took over as Naval Officer-in-Charge, West Bengal and Commanding Officer of INS Netaji Subhas from Commodore P Sasi Kumar, at a ceremonial Parade of Change of Command held at Naval Base Kolkata on Thursday. According to a Defence Ministry spokesperson, Commodore Ajay Yadav, an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Pune, was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1994. He is a ‘Missiles and Gunnery Specialist’. He graduated from Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (TN) and has also undergone Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow. He has commanded INS Prabhaal and has been Divisional Commander of 222(K) Division. During a career spanning over three decades, he has held various operational, staff and academic responsibilities. Prior to the present appointment, he was serving as Directing Staff at Higher Command Wing, Army War College, Mhow. After assuming command, Commodore Yadav interacted with the ship’s crew and exhorted them to continue the good work and remain aligned with the principles of discipline, integrity and professional competence. He also said, each individual plays a vital role in ensuring national security and contributing towards nation building.
