Amravati. Andhra Pradesh government has issued a notification of the new liquor policy in the state. After this notification, the cheapest liquor will be available to the consumers in Andhra Pradesh. The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken this step to stop the sale of illegal liquor. Andhra Pradesh is making it available to drinkers at ₹99 and lower prices. It is being known as the cheapest liquor in the country.
The government is expected to get revenue of Rs 5500 crore from the new liquor policy. The government of Andhra Pradesh has made major changes in its liquor policy. The government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to privatize the sale of liquor by notifying 3736 retail outlets. This notification of the state government has become effective from 12 October 2024. The main objective of this liquor policy is to stop the sale of illegal liquor in the state. Due to the high price of liquor, illegal liquor is sold on a large scale. Many times cases of poisonous liquor also come to light.
