Crowd gathered at the funeral of Iranian commander, Tehran echoed with slogans of ‘Death to America-Israel’…

A huge crowd has gathered on the streets of the capital Tehran for the funeral of senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Razi Mousavi, who was killed in an Israeli attack.

People are holding yellow flags in their hands and raising slogans against America and Israel. According to news agency AFP, the crowd in Tehran’s central Imam Hussein square chanted “Death to Israel” and “Death to America”.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met Mousavi’s family on Thursday and prayed for the slain general before his body was taken to the square.

Many of those mourning the death of their commander were waving yellow flags with the message “I am your opponent”. It was written to give the message of Israel.

Let us tell you that recently Israel had carried out an airstrike on Syria, in which an Iranian commander was killed. Mousavi’s assassination in Syria comes at a time when regional tensions have increased following the Israel-Hamas war that began in Gaza on October 7.

The assassination of Mousavi has further increased that fire. Meanwhile, Iranian Revolutionary Guards Command (IRGC) spokesman Ramzan Sharif warned that our response to Mousavi’s killing will be with direct action.

Iranian state media says Mousavi, a senior commander of the Quds Force, the foreign operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was killed in an Israeli missile strike on Monday near the Syrian capital, Damascus.

On the other hand, the Israeli army, which has carried out hundreds of attacks on Iran-linked targets in war-torn Syria in recent years, only said that it does not comment on foreign media reports.
