Customs are changing in China, for the first time in 30 years the Prime Minister suddenly canceled the press conference…

Everything is not going well in China. Customs are changing in India’s neighboring countries.

On Monday, China surprised the world when its Prime Minister Li Kiang announced the cancellation of the press conference. The tradition of a press conference at the end of the National People’s Congress (NPC) in China is more than 30 years old. In this, China’s government policies and economy are exposed to the world.

Lou Qianjian, a spokesman for the NPC, China’s top legislative body, said in a statement on Monday that the custom would also be abolished for the term of the current National People’s Congress, except in exceptional circumstances.

Ja Ian Chong, assistant professor of political science at the National University of Singapore, said he was doing so to avoid questions about China’s economic slowdown and demographic crisis.

NPC spokesperson Lu Qianjian said, the session of the Chinese Parliament will be held from March 5 to March 11. Apart from holding the annual meeting, Lu also announced the cancellation of the Prime Minister’s press conference.

This decision is said to be very shocking. This is because many times very important information about Chinese economic policy comes to light on the basis of the Prime Minister’s statements, but now things about China’s policies and economy will not be revealed to the world.

When did this custom start?
Lu said that the practice of the Prime Minister addressing the media at the end of the annual Parliament session has now been completely stopped.

Let us tell you that the press conference of the Chinese Prime Minister was organized for the first time in 1988. This press conference has great significance, because in the press conference the PM discusses not only the economic policy of the country but also the further steps being taken by the government.

Apart from this, the PM is also asked questions on the current crises and situations going on in the country. In this press conference there are many issues ranging from domestic to foreign policy.

Prime Minister Li Qiang will submit a government work report to the NPC on Tuesday morning, followed by two written reports outlining plans and budgets from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Finance.
