IMD Cyclonic storm Alert: Delhi. According to the latest report of India Meteorological Department (IMD), after the withdrawal of South-West Monsoon, North-East Monsoon has now become active. There is a threat of a cyclonic storm due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation in the Andaman Sea, due to which a warning of heavy rain has been issued in the South Indian states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka for the next two days. There is a possibility of light rain in Mumbai and Kolkata, while the effect of cold has started increasing in many states of North India.
The IMD has also predicted a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal next week, which may hit the coast of Odisha or West Bengal on October 23 or 24. Due to the impact of this storm, it has been advised to stop fishing and marine activities.
Cold weather is expected to increase in North India, especially in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab. After October 25, foggy conditions may occur in Delhi, while the cold is likely to intensify in the hilly areas.
